As the new name of the Norfolk Social Enterprise Network, Social Enterprise Norfolk aims to celebrate support and grow the Social Enterprise movement in one of the largest yet most rural counties of England. “Social Enterprise” explained….
Social Enterprises are businesses that use surpluses to directly support their communities rather than give profits to share holders. There are over 150 such businesses in Norfolk and 62,000 across the UK. A well known social enterprise is Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen; a restaurant which provides training and work experience for young people disadvantaged in the labour market.
