Welcome to Social Enterprise Norfolk; a new website for Social Enterprises

As the new name of the Norfolk Social Enterprise Network, Social Enterprise Norfolk aims to celebrate  support and grow the Social Enterprise movement in one of the largest yet most rural counties of England. There are similar grass-root networks developing all over the UK ; to see what’s happening in another area of the East of England take a look at the Brightspace Social Enterprise Network in Suffolk or for a national picture visit the Social Enterprise UK

“Social Enterprise” explained….

Social Enterprises are businesses that use surpluses to directly support their communities rather than give profits to share holders. There are over 150 such businesses in Norfolk and 62,000 across the UK.  A well known social enterprise is Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen;  a restaurant which provides training and work experience for young people disadvantaged in the labour market. For more details download his brochure

We are pleased to offer  coaching from fully trained and experienced local social enterprises  to enable you to start your own social enterprise. We also offer coaching to  social enterprises in Norfolk to  help them  grow in areas such as developing marketing strategies, writing funding bids and much more. These sessions are either provided free of charge or for a nominal fee.
